Summer travel Grobag from the Gro Company

Up and Away Grobag(2)

I’ve long been a fan of The Gro Company, mainly for their baby sleeping bags.

I have used Gro bags with all my children, because I love the quality of the fabrics, the funky child-friendly designs and the safer sleeping element. The Gro Company work alongside The Lullaby Trust, whom campaign tirelessly to promote safer sleeping for babies in order to try and prevent SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, also known as cot death).

As well as safe sleeping, Grobag baby sleeping bags come in ages suitable from birth to 3 years of age and also come in varying togs to suit different seasons. For really hot weather, or travelling abroad, I found that the 0.5 tog sleeping bags were the best and I put my children in those in just a nappy, so they wouldn’t overheat. There are also 1 tog Grobags for not-quite-so-hot summer days (like a British summer!) and tog ratings go right up to 2.5 for winter or travel to cooler countries.

What really sets Gro apart from other baby sleeping bag manufacturers, for me, is the travel Grobag. These are designed with openings at the front and at the back, to allow a five point harness through. This means you can strap your baby into a car seat or pushchair, without having to get them out of their Grobag.

These are absolutely brilliant for travel, because I often find when you are travelling or on holiday, you end up out past the usual baby or toddler bedtime and if the baby falls asleep in the car or stroller, whilst in their Grobag, you can transfer them to their bed without waking them up. It also ensures they stay warm, snug and draught-free if the temperature drops in the evening.

I have a really exciting opportunity for one lucky reader to WIN an “Up and Away” travel Grobag in the size and tog rating of your choice.
