Little Passports World Edition Review & Giveaway

Little Passports pack 1 (8)

As our family are becoming more accustomed to frequent travel, my oldest daughter, Bunny, is wanting to learn more and more about the World and about places we might potentially visit one day. The more she learns about other countries, the more she comes to us bursting with questions about places and geography. She’s even coming up with suggestions of places she wants to travel to and ideas for reviews. She’s only 7 years old and practically wants to be a travel blogger in her own right already!

I saw an advert on Facebook for Little Passports and thought it was a great idea. We decided to trial the first pack for Bunny.

It was exciting receiving a package which had flown airmail and seeing that it had come from the USA. When we opened it, at first I was surprised by how little was in it, but Bunny wasn’t at all. There were facts, an activity sheet, stickers, a letter from Little Passport characters Sam and Sofia, a “little passport” and large map of the World. It came in a lovely blue keepsake suitcase, which Bunny can use to store future items from Little Passports in. She really enjoyed looking at the things that came in the parcel and reading about another country. It prompted her to get on Google to learn more and having the map, means she can learn so much more about where places are and also about sizes and scales. Children often don’t grasp the concept of how big a country is, in relation to a county, a city or a village. Having a map is really helping Bunny put the world into context.

Little Passports come in three different packages – Early Explorers (ages 3-5), World edition (ages 5-10) and USA edition (ages 7-10). There are different price plans available, depending on whether you want a monthly subscription or a six or twelve month subscription and a new country is featured each month (or state if you are going for the USA edition). Prices start at $11.95 and although this is a US brand, they dispatch to the UK too.

I think it’s great that there’s an educational subscription box like this available for children. You hear about adult subscription boxes for food or crafts, but this is the first time I’ve seen a travel one and I love that it covers children through a variety of ages. Bunny really enjoyed having something different and wants to continue receiving them.
