Last Monday, I had a case of cabin fever and just felt like I needed to escape and get out of Gloucestershire for a few days. I packed up an overnight bag for me and my three daughters and we set off for my Mum’s house in Dorset, leaving the husband behind to fend for himself. On Tuesday, we set off for Weymouth, a place which is full of happy childhood memories for me, as we spent many a weekend there when I was growing up. The only downside to living in Gloucestershire is that I do miss the beach, but even after ten years away, Weymouth remains my favourite British seaside town.
A fairly recent addition to Weymouth, is the SEA LIFE Tower on the end of the pier. As we have Merlin Annual Passes, we decided to try it out. We only had a five minute wait (and one of those awful green-screen photos) before our “flight”, where we boarded and took our seats. The views were way better than I expected. I couldn’t believe how much we could see from up there. It was truly stunning and really quite an experience to see so much of a town I love, in one go. I took a panaromic and LOADS of other photos, but the one I’m blogging for this week’s #CheckOutThatView is my favourite. Again, I’m afraid it is another photo shot through glass, from a mobile phone, but this time it’s barely noticeable.

What a fabulous photo! I went to Weymouth last year to visit my friend and absolutely loved it. We definitely need to go back this year.

We went to Dorset last year and walked along Weymouth sea front. This year I’m taking N back to go camping with other mums and children.
