Drayton Manor from the Big Wheel #CheckOutThatView

Most of the views I publish for #CheckOutThatView are calm, pretty and serene views showing natural beauty, such as beaches and rolling hills. Or sometimes shots from great height, showing a large section of a town or city. This week I thought I’d shake things up a bit and share a hectic, busy photo. I’ve kept the element of height, although I’m pleased to say that for a change, I’m posting a photo taken on my DSLR and this time I’ve managed to get a photo from height without a glass window in front of me!

So here I give you, a section of Drayton Manor Theme Park, as taken from the very top of the big wheel!

Drayton Manor Thomas Land Expansion Launch (95)

Just across the lake, you can see the stand-up rollercoaster, which sadly was shut, so we couldn’t go on it, and the epic log flume, which goes backward for one drop to ensure you get thoroughly soaked. It’s at this point I’d like to thank the kind lady who gave me her poncho, as I was only wearing shorts and a vest and would have been shivering without it!

We had a fabulous day at Drayton Manor last week for the opening of the Thomas Land expansion. Watch out for a full review of our day out, coming soon.

Thanks again to all of you who linked up last week, we’ve got a few newbies as well as some weekly regulars now, which I love. Please do make sure you are popping back later in the day and visiting some of the other linkups and leaving them a comment. I do share every post when I comment the following week, even for those of you whom aren’t on Twitter or I can’t find a handle to tag you. If you are on Twitter, you can hashtag #CheckOutThatView and I will ReTweet sporadically.

So here’s this week’s linkup and badge.
